Walter White is a high-school chemistry teacher who holds down a second job at a car wash to make ends meet. Talking to his brother-in-law, a DEA agent, Walt is amazed at how much money can be made in selling drugs. When he learns that he has inoperable lung cancer, he teams up with his former student Jesse Pinkman, now selling crystal meth, to make as much money for his family as he can before he dies. They set up a mobile meth lab in a Winnebago mobile home and Walt’s attention to detail results in a top-notch product, but their first attempt at marketing the stuff doesn’t quite go as planned.
